North Team defeated by South Team in North/South All Star Match

Jeff Zimmerman traveled down to the beaches of Pawley's Island for a weekend of tennis, beaches, and comroderie with his fellow South Carolina state All-Star's in the annual North/South All-star match. The event was hosted by the South Carolina Coaches Association at the Debrodieu Colony Resort and the teams were put up in a beach house during the tournament.

Despite the North team and Jeff's best effort, the south team prevailed behind top-ranked Waccammaw High School star and Clemson-bound Wesley Moran. Jeff played well at the #2 doubles line and #4 singles line, but came up just short in each match. On a side note, Moran's father is a '79 graduate of Northwestern High School.

Regardless of outcomes, the event was a huge success in providing a fun atmosphere for this group of highly decorated athletes to participate. The match consisted of players committed to Clemson, College of Charleston, Winthrop, The Citadel, Davidson as well as others that I couldn't confirm.
